The Real Life Room
Volunteers and staff transformed what had been a storage room into an area that would simulate a home environment. Some of our dogs are at the shelter for months, even years. We use sessions in the Real Life Room to teach them to stay off the furniture, discourage taking things (including food) off of tables and counters, as well as exposing them to the sounds of a house. Besides the television, we even have a doorbell!
